The Milam County Railroad Museum is owned by Milam County and is dedicated to portraying the history of railroads in Milam County. In addition, it is home to the Old Town Cameron exhibit. The museum is volunteer operated and funded with a small stipend from Milam County, grants, and donations. While the museum is not part of the Milam County Museum, or the Milam County Jail Museum, it is part of a system of museums and displays that is coordinated by the curator of the Milam County Museum. The museum has one paid staff member (part time) and relies on area citizens to volunteer their time to help keep this Milam County treasure open.
